What you need to know before the renovation

Initially, we make a telephone call (or videoconference) to better understand your needs, clarify any doubts that may arise and explain our way of working. If it suits you, the next step is the preparation of a preliminary project.
For this preliminary project, a visit is scheduled for an initial evaluation of the property, to take measurements and above all to better define your needs, ideas and style preferences so that the proposal is as customised as possible.
With all that information, we prepare several distribution alternatives and once one is selected, a detailed quote is done that will serve as a basis to move on to the next phase. This detailed quote greatly helps the client to control any future change in any evaluated item.
Once the initial proposal and base quote is accepted, we move on to signing the contract to start the project execution, when everything necessary to realise the works without improvisations will be defined in much more detail.
With the project underway, we are in charge of planning and coordinating all of the work and workers that will participate in the project, as well as managing the necessary permits and licences.
The price of a renovation depends on many factors. The main factor is the type of company that you are going to use.
The renovations sector is a complicated sector because of the lack of regulations of companies and professionals. Anybody can set up a renovations company without having the experience or technical qualities to provide a good service.
This means that the prices offered by different companies are sometimes completely different and, in the eyes of clients, often inconsistent.
It is very important for the client to take their project to companies that are aligned in terms of price, speciality and the type of service that they offer and that, if a comparison is needed, are similar in their characteristics.
In our case, from the first moment we try (in the initial telephone call) to inform the client of an approximate price range based on our experience with similar renovations.
The average time taken to finish a complete renovation depends on the size and complexity of the works.
We can establish an average of 5 months for a complete renovation of a home Taking into account the necessary time needed for legalities prior to the works, especially when there are structural modifications.
It is totally unfeasible and unhealthy to live in a property during the process of a complete renovation.
All renovations require municipal authorisation to carry out works. The type of permit will depend on the work that will be carried out and on the requirements established by the local council where the work is to be carried out. At Sincro, we take care of advising clients and managing the licences and permits needed to be able to carry out the renovation.
We provide a fast and efficient after-sales service to answer any questions or efficiently resolve any incident that may arise after the completion of the renovation.
For renovation works, the legal guarantee is 1 year for any defects of finishes, 3 years for defects that prevent or hinder the habitability of said home, and 10 years if there is damage to the structure of the building. The statute of limitation is 2 years from the time that the defect is identified in order to be able to demand liability.
Regarding the guarantee of parts or goods (household appliances, furniture, sanitaryware, etc.) that are included in the service, a general criterion of 3 years from delivery is applied. A period of 2 years is established in which the consumer does not need to demonstrate the lack of conformity of the product. Also,the manufacturers are obliged to guarantee spare parts for 10 years.
