This furniture project was conditioned by the client’s desire to achieve a similar aesthetic to that of the show flat in the development. The style was somewhat more ornate and perhaps ostentatious, so we opted to minimize this effect with more modern furniture, straighter lines, and incorporating a touch of baroque through wallpaper, the use of velvets, golden details, etc.
One of the requirements was to integrate a wine cellar that the client already had into the living room, as well as a small workspace. This was achieved through the modular composition of the furniture, and to avoid overloading that wall, it was decided not to extend the furniture up to the ceiling but instead to install LED lighting above them to give the ensemble a lighter visual feel.
The lack of storage space was one of the shortcomings in this new build home, which we helped to improve with all the furniture, utilizing all possible capacity to accommodate belongings, prioritizing practicality over aesthetics. For example, in the entrance hall, we played with cubes of different volumes, where, apart from serving their function as a hall with mirrors, we also improved the storage aspect.
For the children’s bedrooms, we opted for practical and functional juvenile furniture. Given space constraints, we installed fold-away beds with furniture on top to store toys, clothes, books, etc., typical children’s items that take up space in every home.
To conclude, we would like to mention the brands we worked with. The modular furniture in the living room, entrance hall, and children’s bedrooms, in melamine finish, are from the Tegar Mobel brand; the master bedroom furniture in walnut wood veneer is from the Mobenia brand. The living room sofa is from Egoitaliano. The rest of the auxiliary furniture and decorative objects are from Kave Home. The curtains are from Serveis Tèxtils, and the wallpapers come from various brands, but are supplied by Papeles Pintados Online.
