In this interior design project, the aim was to find the best furniture solutions to optimize all spaces in a new build apartment
When conceptualizing the design, all present and future needs of a family with two young children were taken into account, while also considering existing elements like the kitchen, doors, and flooring to harmoniously integrate them.
The solution involved incorporating plenty of storage space through custom-built cabinets (from Tegar) with various shapes, sizes, colors, and organization options (mainly modules with doors, open shelves, and compartments) to create a modern and functional living space.
In the living room, a large wardrobe spans an entire wall in the kitchen passage area, featuring swing doors and additional open modules with LED lighting and a different finish, playing a significant role in the room’s decor.
Behind the sofa, a low-profile, elongated piece of furniture was installed to store items like a small table or folding chairs, along with a display cabinet for showcasing glasses. For the TV area, a plasterboard structure with niches and wooden accents was chosen, blending seamlessly with the white paint.
In the master bedroom, a matching headboard and ottoman bed were installed. The other bedrooms feature wardrobes with fold-away beds to maximize space for various activities. One room serves as a children’s bedroom with ample storage for toys and other items. Additionally, two fully equipped home offices with an extra bed cater to working from home and hosting guests, potentially serving as two bedrooms in the future as the children grow older.
Both bathrooms are equipped with storage modules, such as tall cabinets with mirrors and vanity units. They are also furnished with all necessary accessories.
Lastly, the entrance hall is adorned with black and white wallpaper for a striking impression upon entry, complemented by a black metal coat rack and two small shelves on the wall.
