In this furniture and decoration project, we sought to balance aesthetics and functionality, intervening in the day area and bedrooms, without modifying the bathrooms or kitchen, except for the incorporation of a peninsula that served to integrate the living room and gain storage in a compact area.
We lowered all the ceilings in the home, which allowed us to improve acoustic insulation and embed the lighting, replacing the old wall sconces. In addition, these new ceilings made it possible to create curtain rails, achieving a more elegant solution for the textiles.
Regarding the installations, we practically renovated everything: from the electrical circuits to the incorporation of a home automation system, as well as changing all the mechanisms in the apartment to adapt them to the new needs.
As for the decoration, we opted for a modern and contemporary line, moving away from the usual Nordic style. The owners sought a more elegant and timeless environment, so we chose walnut and sand tones combined with white, avoiding classic oak. The child’s room was especially optimized, using soft and relaxing tones appropriate for her age.
We selected Italian lights from Ondaluce, in homage to the owners’ origin, and the custom furniture was made by Tegar Mobel. Vescom coverings gave personality to the living room and suite, while the office features an original mural by Tres Tintas Barcelona (Cordonné). In the dining room, a large vertical porcelain piece from Cupastone, with indirect lighting, has become a focal point, as has the finish of the peninsula. All the curtains were made by KA Internacional, adding the final touch to a project where every detail was carefully thought out.
